Mersey Valley Golf & Country Club’s Fishery is set over 2 lakes, all individually landscaped providing a fantastic days coarse fishing for all, carp anglers and pleasure anglers of all levels.

With a tranquil setting in the Mersey Valley countryside you will not be disturbed whilst enjoying the sport that you love. All our established waters are heavily stocked with the highest quality Carp, Chub, Bream, Roach, Perch and Barbel. The clubhouse café is open all day every day serving fresh hot and cold food throughout the year. Our yearly memberships offer great value for money.

We have constructed two fishing lakes at Mersey Valley Golf Club.

The larger lake, Chestnut, has two large islands, with 29 fishing platforms around the perimeter and depths of water ranging from 1 metre to approximately 2 to 3 metres in places.

The smaller lake, Acorn has one island, with 20 fishing platforms and similar depths of water.

Both lakes have a 1 metre deep ledge, one metre wide around the perimeter to ensure adequate weed growth, to encourage spawning and of course to act as a safety ledge.

Quality Common and Mirror Carp well into double figures, Roach up to 2½ lbs, Perch to over 4 lbs, Tench to 4 lbs, Rudd, Orfe are abundant in both lakes. In 2008 we introduced Barbel and Chub to both lakes. In November 2011 we introduced further barbel and a quantity of Crucian Carp, we are looking to introduce further species in the future.

The lakes are ideally situated close to the car park and clubhouse and are set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings.
